The Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul erupted as Sentinels hoisted the Valorant Champions trophy for the second time, completing a flawless 3-0 sweep over Cloud9 in the Grand Finals. An estimated 42,000 fans witnessed what many are calling the most dominant finals performance in Valorant history.
TenZ was virtually unstoppable across all three maps, posting a series ACS of 287 and earning a well-deserved Finals MVP award. His Jett on Lotus was particularly devastating, securing 31 kills with a 78% headshot percentage in the opening map.
Cloud9 entered the Grand Finals as the tournament favorites after a dominant upper bracket run, but Sentinels had clearly done their homework. The tactical adjustments made by coach kaplan neutralized Cloud9's signature mirror compositions, forcing them into uncomfortable agent selections throughout the series.
Map 1 on Lotus ended 13-7, Map 2 on Sunset was a closer 13-10 affair, and Map 3 on Haven delivered the final blow at 13-8. Sentinels never trailed at any point during the series, maintaining map control with suffocating defensive setups.
The victory cements Sentinels as the most successful organization in Valorant history and earns them the lion's share of the $2.5 million prize pool. The offseason transfer window opens next week, and multiple roster moves are expected across the tier-one landscape.
